Despite the demise of Seattle’s independent record stores over the past decade, Ballard’s 30 year veteran, Bop Street Records, is still alive and kicking. How’d they make it, you ask? Dedicated, knowledgeable staff and a staggering 500,000+ inventory of CDs, tapes and, predominately, collector-worthy vinyl, including over 100,000 rock and pop records, 18,000 soundtracks, 15,000 jazz records and 2,000 blues records. And that goes without mentioning all the other genres available... If you want it, they’re bound to have it.
