What is it that makes Kona coffee so exceptional? The folks at Hula Daddy will tell you that their location, up mauka in the pristine village of Holualoa, is uniquely tempered from the tropical heat by afternoon clouds that blow in over the mountains, providing the ideal shade for their orchards. After harvest their beans dry in the island sun, are roasted in the age-old Hawaiian tradition and are never blended. The result is an undeniably divine cup of coffee. Currently under renovations, the plantation visitor area promises to delight coffee lovers with tours and tastings come Fall of 2007.
