In the early 1800s, Brazilian cattle ranchers developed a method of skewering and slow-roasting their meats over large wood fires, and gathering large groups of friends and families to eat together. The passadores, or men who grilled the meat, would walk around the fire and cut slices of meat for each person. In the spirit of this age-old tradition, Seattle's Ipanema Grill offers a true Brazillian steakhouse experience by roasting beef, lamb, pork, fish and poultry over their charcoal grills and constantly reloading your plate with a generous portion of their delicacies. Two authentic cold salad-type bars offer diners even more opportunity to sample the exotic fare, while a standard menu is also available for those less adventurous types.
