Contrary to their tongue-in-cheek logo, which reads, "Getting our ass kicked since 1999," we think kicking ass is more like it. Founded with an intention to release cutting edge music by unknown yet deserving artists, Loveless Records came to life at the hands of some seriously talented folks including the likes of John Richards—a.k.a. John in the Morning of Seattle's ubiquitous KEXP, Pete Nordstrom—local musician and President of Merchandising at Nordstrom and Sam Jones—famous photographer and documentary film maker. As they continue to introduce rising stars like The Shackeltons and Voyager One to the indie music scene and beyond, this up-and-coming label is redefining the way stars are born.
