With accolades up the yin yang and a spot on the National Historic Register, this Route 66 roadhouse lives up to all the hype. Where else could you flex your poker might, bet on the horses, sing karaoke (or heckle the crooners), compete in a mean horseshoe tournament and do the two-step to some of the best live country and western bands in Arizona? Originally a taxidermy in the 30s, many mounted beasts still adorn the walls, which has led people to affectionately nickname it The Zoo.
