The Buena Vista
Landmark Libations
On November 10, 1952, a local travel reporter argued with the then owner of The Buena Vista over the authentic recipe for Irish Coffee, and after hours of debate they settled on the exact formula for the now famous beverage. Despite its reputation as one of the ultimate San Francisco tourist destinations, this landmark saloon manages to appeal to patrons from both sides of the fence, tourists and locals alike. Centrally located on the Powell-Hyde cable car line across the street from Fisherman’s Wharf, fans have no trouble finding and packing this joint seven days a week. And no one leaves without trying their signature drink—they pour 2,000 Irish Coffees a day!

The Buena Vista t-shirts are made in the U.S.A. with ultra soft 100% cotton. Our water-based inks leave a soft-hand feel on these chalky mint colored t-shirts. After careful testing, we can confirm that Irish Coffee will likely stain this t-shirt.
